Chris Wakefield was born and raised in Indianapolis. His 20-year career in broadcasting and journalism began at Northwest High School, where he was an anchor and special assignment reporter for WNHS news.

While in college, Chris wrote for the IUPUI magazine and began studying Indianapolis history under the guidance of some of Indy’s brightest historians.

Chris has written articles on history and business for several local and national outlets, including The Saturday Evening Post. For the past ten years, he has published articles and essays on Indianapolis history for Circle City Talk.

When not researching and writing about the history of WISH-TV and Indianapolis, Chris spends his time traveling the world with his husband and two children.
