Peabody Shooting: 2 Juveniles Charged with Assault on Murder

The shooting happened on Littles Lane on May 21.



PEABODY, MA — Two juveniles face a combined 22 counts of aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a firearm in connection with a shooting on Littles Lane in Peabody last week, according to Peabody police.

Police said the two juveniles — who have not been identified because of their ages — were charged on warrants issued by Salem Juvenile Court for the May 21 shooting.

Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin commended the Peabody Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division for their work on the case, as well as the department’s collaboration with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

“The collaboration and dedication of our law enforcement partners was instrumental in quickly bringing these suspects into custody,” Griffin said in a news release. “This case exemplifies our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our community, and we will continue to diligently investigate this incident to the fullest extent possible.”

Police said the juveniles were also charged with one count of criminal damage to property and two counts of malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
