Romesh Ranganathan told fans at Utilita Arena Birmingham show ‘I’m done’

Romesh Ranganathan brought the house down as he played Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on Thursday as part of his Hustle Tour. The popular funnyman hit the town on Thursday night and wowed fans during his hilarious two-hour set.

The TV star, who presents The Weakest Link and A League of Their Own and has appeared in a number of other shows making him a household name, lamented and bemoaned the many things in life that annoy him as part of his set side parting. .




At one point he came down to the audience in Birmingham and told them. “I’m done. I’m retired.” Fortunately for his fans, Romesh wasn’t talking about comedy or TV.

No, he explained that he was done making new friends. He went on to share how now, at the age of 46, he had decided that he had made all the friends he would ever go out with and was not interested in making any more.

It was just one of many bright moments in a fantastic night for those in attendance at the Utilita Arena, who gave the comic a standing ovation at the end of his funny and sometimes goofy set. There was barely a moment of silence as the audience went wild as Romesh shared his inner thoughts on the nastiest social situations he’s been forced to endure and unleashed one outrage after another.

He made fun of football fans, life coaches, the couples he is forced to interact with, and even his own friends. No one was banned as Romesh got everything off his chest.

Romesh returns to Birmingham on Friday night for his second sold-out show in as many days before his tour moves on to Nottingham, Hull, Leeds and Manchester.
