American Pitbull owner, 27, whose three dogs mauled 24-year-old woman in park

The owner of three dogs, including a banned American Pitbull Terrier, which mauled a woman in a park, has been pictured for the first time.

Lakaydia Reynolds, 24, was walking through Abbots Park in Lambeth, south London, when Darren Massey’s dogs put on her.

Ms Reynolds required plastic surgery after the June 6 incident, which saw her pinned to the ground as the dogs bit and scratched her face, legs and arm.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Ms Reynolds revealed she is still in “excruciating pain” after suffering nerve damage in her arm and can’t feel or move half of her limb.

Now 27-year-old Massey was seen at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today where he admitted owning a dangerous dog.

The terrifying attack, which took place in broad daylight, was seen by a passerby who filmed it. The video was later posted online.

Ms Reynolds was hospitalized for a week and required plastic surgery and nerve damage to her lip.

He lost his right arm and was unable to play rugby or the violin.

It is not clear which dogs actually caused Ms Reynolds’ injuries, but one of them was knocked down.

Massey previously told the court: “(The dogs) have been seized. One of them was put down.

He was bailed to appear back at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on May 29.

In October last year, Ms Reynolds told the BBC: ‘It turned out to be the worst day of my entire life.

Mr Massey’s three dogs mauled a 24-year-old woman in a park and left her with horrific injuries that required plastic surgery.

“I screamed, I begged him for help, I begged him for help.

“It was just me against these three dogs. The owner himself started asking for help, which scared me even more.

“I thought, if he can’t control his dogs, then who can?

“I had to unzip my hoodie and take my hoodie off and pull my arm out of the dog’s mouth.

“If I didn’t escape in a split second, I knew these dogs were going to kill me.

“I was affected mentally, socially, emotionally and physically,” she added.

“One of the hardest things for me is that I can’t do anything myself, so I have to rely on people to help me.”

She told the BBC that her full prognosis will not be known until 18 months, as that is the time it takes for nerve damage to heal.
