Bradford City AFC are delighted to announce the signing of centre-back Aden Baldwin on an initial two-year deal.

The 26-year-old arrives at Bradford University Stadium on a deal until the summer of 2026 after his contract at Notts County expires.

A product of Forest Green Rovers’ academy, Baldwin signed his first professional contract at The New Lawn in 2015 before earning a move to Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City in 2016.

Loan spells at Weston-super-Mare, Cheltenham Town and Eastleigh followed before spending the 2021/22 season at MK Dons.

He signed for the Magpies in June 2022, spending two seasons at Meadow Lane, making 79 appearances. His two goals in a 3–2 National League play-off semi-final win against Boreham Wood in May 2023 secured County’s place at Wembley for the final, where they beat Chesterfield on penalties to secure their place back in League Two.

On joining the Bantams, Baldwin said: “I’m delighted to complete the deal. I’ve had some really good chats with the gaffer and I’m delighted to be here.

“I’m a mobile centre-back and I also like to play with the ball at my feet, out from the back.

“I love playing in front of a big crowd and a lot of fans, so hopefully that allows me to play my best game. I missed the opportunity to play here last year so I’m looking forward to doing it for this club.

“I’m glad we got the deal done early because now I can settle in with the team and get familiar with the environment. Hopefully the fans can turn up in their numbers and we can give them a successful season.”

City boss Graham Alexander said: “I am delighted to bring on board a player of Aden’s talent.

“He has excellent defensive qualities and his quality in possession will bring another dimension to our attacking play.

“He is another player with promotion experience. I am delighted that he has decided to join our quest for success and I am sure that his colleagues and our supporters will appreciate what he will add to our club.”
