The teenager, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon and threats to cause death or bodily harm.

She was released from police custody to appear at Cornwall Magistrates’ Court at an undisclosed later date.

Police said the man removed the merchandise from the store without paying for it on May 24. He was taken into police custody on Friday.

Thomas Huffman, 47, was charged with theft under $5,000.

He was released from police custody to appear at Cornwall Crown Court on July 2.
