Five arrested after man seriously injured in horror shooting

Five people have been arrested after a 20-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in Salford.

Emergency services descended on Aspinall Crescent, Little Hulton, at around 9.30pm on Sunday, May 26, following a “suspected firearm discharge”. Greater Manchester Police said shots were fired at a house.




The victim, a 20-year-old man, was rushed to hospital at the scene with serious shoulder injuries.

A scene remained in place overnight and throughout the bank holiday amid ongoing inquiries into the incident.

Afterwards, some horrified residents told him Manchester Evening News how they wanted to move, while sharing fears of increased crime in the local area.

In an update today (Friday), detectives from Salford’s Criminal Investigation Department said they had made five arrests in connection with the shooting and that inquiries were ongoing.

Earlier this week, Greater Manchester Police confirmed that two men, both in their 20s, had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
