Liverpool in race to sign this Leeds United Star: Good Move By The Reds?

Crysencio Summerville signed for Leeds United from Feyenoord in 2020. Over the years, he has improved his game to solidify his place in the team. He is currently an integral part of the team and one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League.

Summerville has been able to put up good numbers this season, where he has scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists in 49 games. He averaged 3.1 shots, 2.6 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored). As a result, he was named the player of the year in the championship.

The Dutch footballer is a complete package as a striker. With great dribbling skills and passing accuracy, he also has good finishing skills. He is also effective in creating threats, providing balls and taking set pieces.

Liverpool’s alleged interest in Crysencio Summerville comes amid uncertainty over the future of Luis Diaz. The latter has interest from several clubs, especially Barcelona. However, his high market price could deter clubs from materializing interest.

However, even if Diaz stays at the club, the Reds need depth in the offensive line. The arrival of Summerville will certainly help solve this problem. He can play on either wing and could make an instant impact given his proven track record.

Leeds United reportedly want somewhere between £35m and £40m, which shouldn’t be a problem for Liverpool. However, he should be quick to complete the deal as rivals Chelsea are also keen on the 22-year-old’s services.
