The first ever Crossed Wires podcast festival kicks off this weekend

Crossed Wires Festival will bring the nation’s top names in podcasting to Sheffield for a very special weekend.

From Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June, Sheffield’s Most iconic venues will be packed with hit shows, never-before-seen performances and special guests – all hosted by the biggest names in podcasting, comedy, current affairs, culture, sports, family and wellness.

Sheffield’s Bethel Chapel, which was once home to the beloved Cole Brothers toy store, will be the venue for Crossed Wires Festival, The Fringe, a free event for the public, before opening as a new music venue later this year.

The redevelopment of Bethel Chapel, which dates back to the mid-19th century, is part of the massive £470 million Heart of the City development. The Sheffield City Council development aims to transform the city center and breathe new life into iconic buildings such as this one.
