20-year-old man charged with murder after ‘loving mum’ Amie Gray stabbed on Bournemouth beach – The Sun

A MAN has been charged with murder and attempted murder after two women were stabbed on Bournemouth seafront.

‘Loving mum’ Amie Gray, 34, was killed in the horror attack on Durley Chine beach in Dorset at 24:42 on May 24.

Another woman – aged 38 and also from Poole – was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries and has since been discharged.

Nasen Saadi, 20, from Croydon, was arrested on May 29, Dorset Police said.

He has now been charged with murder and attempted murder and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on June 1.

Detective Superintendent Richard Dixey, from MCIT, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of Amie Gray, as well as the woman who was seriously injured, and they are aware of this latest development in our investigation.

“This matter has been the subject of extensive investigation and we have now consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service, who have authorized charges of murder and attempted murder.

“This means that the case will now be the subject of active legal proceedings and it is vital that the justice system is allowed to take its course.

“It is also important to emphasize that there should be no further comments or sharing of information online or on social media that could prejudice these legal proceedings.”

Amie’s wife Sian Gray and their daughter previously paid tribute to him by sprinkling rose petals into the sea.

In a tribute released by police, she said: “Words cannot describe the pain we feel. Amie was the most loving wife and mother.

“Her giggle and big smile will be hard to miss. A larger than life character.

“I will miss you so much my love. To the moon and back, forever and ever.”

While Amie’s mum Sharon Macklin said: “As a family we are devastated to have lost one of the most amazing, funny, kind and energetic souls.

“When Amie walked into a room, she burst into laughter and her presence could not be ignored.

“She was beautiful inside and out and there are no words to express how empty our lives will be without her.

“We will miss her so much and our hearts are forever broken.”
