It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of John Allan Rupert on Friday, May 3, 2024, aged 89. Beloved husband of Geraldine Rupert (nee Parkman). Loving father of Jacqueline Rivière (Dave), Theresa Rupert, Phyllis Rupert (Kent), Joanne Ballantyne (Dave), Diana Rupert, Allan Rupert (Tracie). Proud grandfather to Jessica (Ian), Trevor, Jacqui Rose (Isaac), Carson (Sarah), Nathan, Drew, Cole, Garrett and great grandfather to Maya-Rosa, Eva, Coner and Carli. He was predeceased by his parents George and Eva Rupert (née MacMillan) and his only brother Donald Rupert. As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Finch Community Cemetery on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at noon, celebrated by the Rev. Lois Gaudet. A reception will follow the service at the Royal Canadian Legion, 415 Second Street West, Cornwall, ON. from 14:00 to 16:30. Donation may be made in John’s memory to Shriners Hospital for Children and would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements under the care of Wilson Funeral Home.
