Wigan Warriors boss Matt Peet gives his verdict on Adam Keighran’s red card and potential ban ahead of Challenge Cup final clash with Warrington Wolves

MATT PEET was honest in his assessment of Adam Keighran’s red card in Wigan Warriors’ 19-18 win over Warrington Wolves.

Keighran saw red with 11 minutes to go after striking Warrington’s Arron Lindop around the head.

With a Challenge Cup final around the corner, it looks almost certain that Keighran will sit out the event at Wembley and Peet didn’t hold back in his opinion of the incident.

“I thought it was poor of him to be honest,” Peet said live Sky Sports after the game.

“He’s done things like this before and I talked to him about it. He must be disappointed with his actions there.

“I think there has been mitigation, but I think it needs to be more orderly than that. He must raise his hands.

Peet was then asked if he thought he would reach the Challenge Cup final and the Wigan boss replied: “I’m not sure.”
