Met Office weather forecast for Greater Manchester as temperatures reach 20C

Today will be another warm day in Greater Manchester as temperatures climb into the 20s.

MET forecasters are predicting that today (Thursday) will be a largely sunny and dry day for our region, with some intervals of cloud. It will feel mild as the mercury climbs in the afternoon, reaching 20C around 4pm.




Tomorrow will feel even warmer as temperatures reach highs of around 23C in the late afternoon. Forecasters predict it will be another cloudy day with sunny intervals until the early evening.

Highs of around 22C are expected across Greater Manchester on Saturday and Sunday, with drier conditions and sunny spells forecast. Looking at the general UK forecast for the coming days, the Met Office said “high pressure will dominate”, leading to rising temperatures.

A statement on the Met Office website said: “The weather will continue to warm over the next few days with bright and sunny conditions for many. High pressure will dominate, temperatures continue to rise.

“Highs of 24C are possible tomorrow (Thursday) and could reach as high as 26C in the south on Saturday. Although most of the UK will enjoy this fine weather, showers and more unsettled conditions are likely in the far north and north-west.”

The Met Office said UV and pollen levels will also increase in the coming days, with people being urged to take care in the sun.
