Coventry City are interested in Huddersfield Town ace Jack Rudoni

Coventry City are interested in Huddersfield Town ace Jack Rudoni this summer, according to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon page.

Coventry City have identified the attacking midfielder as an ideal replacement for the departure of Callum O’Hare. They are preparing for another year in the Championship, after last season they did not reach the play-offs.

Rudoni, 22, was part of the Terriers side who were relegated to League One last term, alongside Rotherham United and Birmingham City. His future is now up in the air at the John Smith’s Stadium.

In this latest update on his future from journalist Nixon on Patreon, Huddersfield Town want a hefty fee of around £10m for his signature in the next transfer window amid interest from the Sky Blues.

It won’t come cheap and his current club are keen to get as much money as possible for him as they target immediate promotion from the third tier.

Who is this?

THE QUIZ STARTS!

Rudoni would be ideal for Coventry City as they seek promotion to the Premier League.

He would inject more quality into their squad and has a bright future in the game. However, Mark Robins’ side would have to pay a hefty sum if they are to lure him to the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The Londoner is under contract at Huddersfield Town until 2026, meaning they are under no pressure to sell him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come along.

Rudoni began his career in Crystal Palace’s academy before joining AFC Wimbledon in 2011.

He then rose through the Dons youth ranks and had loan spells at Corinthian Casuals and Tonbridge Angels in the non-league to get some experience under his belt.

The striker then broke into the first team and went on to make 106 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 goals.

Huddersfield Town then lured him to Yorkshire and he has been a key player for them ever since.

He has scored seven goals in 83 games for the Terriers so far, five of which have come in the last term.

Rudoni shouldn’t be playing in Ligue 1 and it would be a surprise if he stayed where he is.

He fits the bill for Coventry City and would be an ideal addition for them, especially with O’Hare set to leave.

The price tag is a sticking point though, and the Sky Blues may have to look elsewhere if nothing changes.
