Laura Hays Obituary – Hampton, VA

HAMPTON – Laura Ann Hays, 24, found peace Friday, April 4, 2003. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Peninsula, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thomas Nelson Community College. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Turner Monroe Drewry and Thomas Warren Hays, survivors include her parents, Dr. David and Ann Hays of Hampton; her grandmothers, Cathrine Drewry of Wakefield and Hazel Hays of Hampton; her sister and brother, Jennifer Gail Hays and Daniel Patrick Hays, both of Hampton; her aunt, LaRue Hays of Smithfield; and her uncle, John Hays of Newport News. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 Sunday evening at the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the SPCA, 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA 23606.
