Coventry City’s Callum O’Hare replacement ‘delayed’ with ‘staggering’ £10m price tag

Coventry City have been ‘pushed out’ of the man the club are said to have targeted to replace Callum O’Hare after what was described as a ‘staggering’ asking price from relegated Huddersfield Town.

The Sun’s transfer pundit Alan Nixon claims today that the Sky Blues are keen on the Terriers’ impressive attacking midfielder Jack Rudoni, saying Mark Robins sees the 22-year-old as the “ideal” replacement for O’Hare, which is expected. to leave CBS Arena on a free transfer this summer.




O’Hare has been offered new terms but the club appear resigned to losing the services of the number ten and are actively looking for an alternative.

However, Nixon says: “Huddersfield want a staggering £10m for highly-rated Jack Rudoni to lure Coventry City away.”

The report from the journalist’s Patreon account adds that: “… the Sky Blues backed off when they heard the valuation and will go elsewhere.”

Rudoni joined Huddersfield for £800,000 from AFC Wimbledon in 2022 and is currently contracted to the club until the summer of 2026, with the now League One side understood to have an option for a further year. The left-handed midfielder, who has had two seasons in the Championship, caught the eye when the Sky Blues played against Town last season.
