Its charming old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and many of the quaint little cafes and restaurants turn into bars at night. Visitors can explore the shops along the 2 km long Royal Road, eat the best Polish dumplings at one of the city’s food halls, take a walking tour to learn about Warsaw’s haunting history, or spend an afternoon in the wonderful city park Lazienki.

Barcelona

Known as one of the most fashionable cities in Europe, Barcelona is unique in that it is a beach holiday all in one place. The Spanish hotspot is home to impressive museums, perfect parks, pristine beaches and excellent restaurants.

The Sagrada Família is a sight not to be missed and is one of the most visited basilicas in the world for good reason. The beautiful Parc Guell offers stunning hilltop views of the city, while Barcelona’s most famous street, La Rambla, is a must-see.

Prices in Barcelona are more expensive than in other regions of Spain, however it is possible to visit the city on a budget – by dining away from the main tourist street, booking travel outside the summer season and taking advantage of public transport.
