Trains have been canceled between Bradford and Skipton as emergency services rush to follow

TRAINS are canceled between Bradford and Skipton due to a track emergency.

Northern Rail said at 9.11 today that all lines between Shipley and Skipton stations are closed due to emergency services dealing with an incident on the line.

A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) said resources were sent to Steeton and Silsden Station just after 8.30am.

Network Rail staff are also on site.

This affects the following services:

  • Bradford Forster Square – Skipton will be canceled until further notice

  • Leeds v Morecambe/Carlisle will not be able to run between Shipley v Skipton

  • Leeds – Skipton services will not be able to run between Shipley – Skipton

Road transport has been asked to run between Shipley and Skipton in both directions, according to Northern Rail.

This adds an extra 60 minutes to the normal travel time.

Northern Rail said disruption was expected until at least 12pm.
