Man found with serious injuries on Bristol Road in Selly Oak

Police are appealing for information after a man was found on a city street with serious injuries. The man was found injured on Selly Oak’s Bristol Road, off North Road, on Saturday night (June 1).

The 32-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition, West Midlands Police said. The force did not provide further details about his injuries.




Officers will continue to carry out CCTV inquiries and patrols have been increased in the area. Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the force.

Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone with dash cam footage who was driving in the area between 8.15pm and 8.45pm. A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information after a man was found with serious injuries on Bristol Road, Selly Oak, last night, June 1.

“The 32-year-old was taken to hospital in serious condition. CCTV inquiries are ongoing and patrols have been stepped up in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.

“We are keen to speak to anyone with information or anyone with dashcam footage who was driving along Bristol Road through Selly Oak near North Road between 8.15pm and 8.45pm.”
