The couple who got married near a wrestling event jump into the ring for a fight

The bride and groom discovered that their wedding venue was next to a wrestling event – so they jumped into the ring for a fight. Andrew and Robyn Petersed married at Oswald House in Kirkcaldy on May 25 – but to their surprise, the Dunnikier Country Park Fayre had started next door.

The couple from Grangemouth in Scotland saw the event host a live wrestling show. The couple, who have been together for 15 years, were initially disappointed – worried they would miss out on their stunning outdoor wedding photos.




But the pair quickly decided to make the most of the situation – with bride Robyn immediately asking to take a spin in the ring. “We were both disappointed because I saw a photo of a couple outside Oswald House and it looked absolutely stunning,” Andrew said.

“The morning of the wedding, I saw people setting up all these bouncy castles and bouncy castles — and I thought, ‘We’re never going to get that photo. It was disappointing at first, but I think we both decided to do it. we make the most of the day. I had enough stress planning the wedding and honeymoon!”

“We could see everything from our bridal suite while we were getting ready, so we all thought it was a nightmare,” added Robyn. “We had our ceremony and we were having our drinks and then Hannah from the wrestling company came over and congratulated us.

“I saw his shirt, which had the name of the wrestling company on it, and I immediately asked if I could get in the ring. I was walking down to the wrestling ring and then I realized I had no idea how to get there. in the ring.

“There were no steps, so I had to navigate through this massive dress to try and get into the ring. We finally got in the ring and none of our guests knew what was going on!

“I didn’t tell anyone and just ran straight to the ring so I could see the guests who were slowly but surely starting to migrate down to watch us – everyone was loving it.” The couple claim the event made their “best day” even more memorable – with the bride, groom and guests partying until 4am.
