Jones will join Team GB ahead of the Paris Olympics

Jones becomes the latest Tiger to play rugby at the Olympics, after brothers John and Dick Jackett, who were current playing members at Leicester at the time, did so at the White City in 1908.

As well as the Jacketts, three former Tigers (Jimmy Jose, Maffer Davey and Herbert Nicol) also won silver medals when they played for Great Britain (Cornwall), which were beaten 32-3 by Australia in the Olympic final of White City, London, on 26 October 1908.
