Why Graham Potter will reject any approach to be Leicester City’s new manager

With the help of media reports, Foxes of Leicester explain why former Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter would reject any offer from LCFC to take over the King Power Stadium. Would fans want Potter as Leicester boss? The consensus seems pretty positive about the potential scenario of the 49-year-old at the helm.

As well as looking at that possible eventuality, FoL also covers a separate rumor regarding the East Midlands side’s apparent hunt for a new gaffer. This includes what the respected publication The Times suggests on the subject. While speculation is rife over another of the west London outfit’s former bosses. What would the Blue Army think of Maurizio Sarri? Well, we polled a cross section of them to find out what they think of Italian and the aforementioned English.

First and foremost, The Times claims that the Leicester hierarchy are in no rush to nominate their new team leader. The Foxes will indeed take their time to appoint a new manager. But why? Well, this could be due to accusations of breaking profit and sustainability rules. Not to mention the desperate need for the right person, with the worry of becoming a so-called yo-yo club.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri is reportedly on the shortlist for the big Leicestershire job. Sarri left the Blues and Great Britain rather unceremoniously, but there is no doubting his coaching abilities.

However, while CFC are keeping everyone waiting to confirm Enzo Maresca’s appointment at Stamford Bridge, a new report claims that Sarri has snubbed Leicester. The latter is probably desired by fewer of the faithful.

Potter was another highly regarded manager who didn’t fare too well at Chelsea. Of course, he wasn’t given much of a chance to show what he could do and assemble a great team in his own reflection. Although many supporters at the Bridge and around the world were not too supportive of the former Brighton man, neither were his tactics, strategies and stratagems.

Although, Potter has put together an excellent Seagulls roster that has played some sublime football. No one can deny the fun of his past part. To be fair, the level and capabilities from the Amex are probably quite similar to the King Power.

But all that may be irrelevant now. That’s because Potter is said to want a role in the England national team, or at least Manchester United.
