Road closed for ‘some time’ after collision

A road is expected to be closed “for some time” after a single-vehicle collision in Devon, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the A38 between Heathfield and Chudleigh was closed in both directions following the accident at around 17:58 BST on Sunday.

One person suffered “serious injuries” and another “potential injuries”, the force said, adding that both were taken to Derriford Hospital.

Traffic caught in the eastbound closure will be reversed, National Highways added.

Police said Devon’s air ambulance also attended.
