Galatasaray enter the race for Manchester United’s FA Cup hero and have prepared to bid £8million

Manchester United’s thrilling FA Cup final victory over Manchester City will long be remembered as the ‘Kobbie Mainoo’ final.

And while Kobbie Mainoo deserves all the plaudits for his match-winning performance, he wasn’t the only Manchester United midfielder to impress.

On-loan star Sofyan Amrabat produced his best performance of the season, raising the question of whether Manchester United should sign him on a permanent basis.

United are currently deliberating over Erik ten Hag’s future, with player personnel decisions to follow.

Galatasaray wants Sofyan Amrabat

Manchester United have an option to buy Sofyan Amrabat written into his loan deal for around £21m.

While many would like to see United activate this clause, a decision is pending, giving other teams a chance to enter the race.

According to Turkish outlet Fotospor, Galatasaray are interested in signing Amrabat, who played against them for United in the Champions League group stage.

The report claims that Galatasaray are prepared to offer just €10m, half of Fiorentina’s £8m asking price.

It is claimed that Amrabat’s Morocco international Hakim Ziyech is trying to persuade him to move and that the midfielder is interested in the possibility.

Galatasaray are said to be concerned about interest from Saudi Pro League sides and will look for alternatives if Fiorentina insist on a higher price.

Amarbat on request

Sofyan Amrabat is currently in demand after a strong finish to the season, with Spazio Napoli reporting that Antonio Conte is interested in making him one of his first Napoli signings.

TMW also reported that there is interest from AC Milan in the midfielder, while The Sun claimed there is interest from Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Amrabat has insisted he is open to staying at Manchester United and wants to hold talks.

Speaking after the FA Cup final, he told Ziggo Sport: “We will talk. Manchester United is the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here?

“But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we’ll sit back now and see what happens.”
