The tributes are coming in for Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow

He passed away at the age of 41.

Rob Burrow has been remembered as a “rugby league legend” following his death aged 41.

The former Leeds Rhinos and England player was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2019.

He then went on to raise millions of pounds for awareness of the condition.

Prince William is one of the people paying tribute to Rob today.

Kevin Sinfield’s best friend and former teammate says he will continue to be inspired by Rob every day.

Together with Rob they have raised millions of pounds to research MND.

Well, hundreds of people gathered in Headingley last night to lay flowers, shirts and remember Rob. Rhinos players also went to pay their respects.

Burrow led a £6.8m appeal for Leeds Hospitals Charity, where he received care, for a state-of-the-art care center for people living with motor neurone disease.

Leeds Rhinos said today (03/06/2024) work to start building the new Rob Burrow Center for Motor Neurone Disease will “go ahead as planned at Rob’s request”, adding it was a tribute to his “incredible work” .

Leeds Hospitals Charity said Burrow was “an inspiration, not only to the people of Yorkshire, but to the whole nation and the world”, adding that he spread joy with his “infectious smile and unwavering sense of humour”.
