Martin Lewis’ team explain who will be getting their £100 payout in a few days

The Money Saving Expert team explained who will receive a £100 payment in a few days, as around 3.85 million people are eligible. The site created by personal finance guru Martin Lewis detailed the upcoming payout in its latest newsletter.

The MoneySavingExpert newsletter explained who will benefit from Nationwide’s Fairer Share. The MSE team wrote: “If you bank with Nationwide, you could get a free £100 paid into your account in the coming weeks as part of the building society’s ‘Fairer Share’ scheme.

“The bonus will be paid to the millions of current account customers who also have savings or a mortgage with it.”

This will be the second payment in two years from the bank. Last year it paid out £340 million. The newsletter explains: “First, you must have a nationwide checking account.

“Your account must have been opened on March 31, 2024. Second, you must have used your current account at the beginning of this year.”

If you have a FlexAccount, FlexDirect or FlexBasic, then in two of the three months of January, February and March 2024, you must have either received at least £500 into your account and made at least two payments from your account. – if you must have made at least 10 payments from the account.

If you have a FlexPlus, you must have paid the monthly account fee. If you have a FlexOne, FlexStudent or FlexGraduate then you must have received at least one payment or made a payment in March. You must also have had savings or a mortgage with Nationwide in March 2024 for either account.

There is an eligibility checker on the Nationwide website. MSE said: “The money will be paid directly into your Nationwide current account between Thursday 13 June and Friday 28 June and will appear on your statement as ‘Nationwide Fairer Rate Payment’.

“If you close your account before the £100 is paid and you don’t have another Nationwide current account, you won’t be eligible to receive the reward as Nationwide says it won’t make the payment otherwise. for scams that invite you to claim or request payment or ask you to hand over your personal data.”
