CJC is adding three new resource centers in Tompkins County

ITHACA, NY (WHCU) – Following positive feedback from Enfield and Groton, the Community Justice Center (CJC) has opened three new community centers in Tompkins County.

New resource centers are now open in the city of Ithaca, Lansing and Slaterville. In addition to free Internet access, hub staff provides assistance with securing transportation, filling out paperwork, and making telehealth appointments.

“Having been successful in meeting people where they are with our first two hubs in Groton and Enfield, I am very excited to add three new hub locations,” said CJC Director Monalita Smiley. “Residents of West Hill and the Slaterville Springs/Caroline and Lansing areas are invited to take advantage of these new hubs. The aim is to ensure that people have access to information in their own communities. We provide safe spaces for people to access the internet, get help with a service access form or simply navigate the complexities of our community resources.”

  • Ithaca West Hill Neighborhood, 150 West Village Place Room 328, Ithaca – Open Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Slaterville Fire Hall, 2681 Slaterville Road, Slaterville Springs – Open Wednesdays 9am-11am
