Nuneaton Carnival 2024 road closures be aware

Road closures will be in place around the town center for Nuneaton Carnival. The annual event will take place in just over a week – Sunday, June 9.

There will be a roadblock as the procession makes its way through the streets of Attleborough, around the edge of downtown and back to Caldwell. Motorists are advised that this will be in place from 11am to 5pm.

This year, in a huge change to the event, the procession will begin at noon. This is instead of the traditional time of 1:00 p.m.

• Attleborough Road
• Church Street
• Justice Walk
• Wheat Street
• Newdegate Street
• Abbey Street
• Powell Way
• The Jubilee Way
• Cotton Road

The carnival, which has the theme ‘Around the World’, the funds raised will go to the charity People in Action. As is tradition, those on floats and participants on foot will have buckets to collect pennies.

As well as the procession itself, the gala grounds will also host food, drink, stalls and a live music stage.
