Girl assaulted in Nuneaton street attack as police launch hunt for suspect

A girl was assaulted outside a shop in Nuneaton and police have launched a manhunt for her attacker. She was attacked outside a shop on Queen Elizabeth Road, at the junction with Holly Stitches Road, yesterday afternoon (June 2).

It is understood she was assaulted by another girl. She is said to have suffered head injuries as a result, but did not require hospital treatment.



Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident, which was reported to them just after 3.45pm. In this regard, they launched an appeal for witnesses in an attempt to find the suspect.

A Warwickshire Police spokesman said: “Any witnesses can go to Tell us something you saw or heard | Warwickshire Police or can call 101 quoting the incident number. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
