Man City are tracking Manchester United-linked Jarrad Branthwaite

Manchester United could face stiff competition for Jarrad Branthwaite’s signature this summer.

The Everton centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to United in recent months after an impressive season in the Premier League.

Branthwaite, 20, has already made a name for himself in Holland following a season-long loan at PSV Eindhoven last term.

According to Football Insider, Man City are “keeping tabs” on Branthwaite.

It remains to be seen who Gareth Southgate will start at centre-back against Bosnia and Herzegovina tonight, but Branthwaite has been tipped to feature in the friendly.

There will be more clubs watching him closely, not just United.

United are looking to bolster their centre-back options this summer following the departure of Raphael Varane. Branthwaite is believed to be among their targets as a potential replacement for the Frenchman.

Everton could demand up to £70m for Branthwaite’s signature, so they will be keen to receive interest from a number of clubs.
