Manchester City FC opens pop-up shop in New York

The Manchester club is expanding its retail presence in the Big Apple by opening a pop-up store in an iconic American location.

Ahead of the Premier League club’s pre-season visit to the US this summer, Manchester City have announced the opening of a new City Store at Rockefeller Center in New York. The pop-up store officially opened on June 1 and will run until September 22, giving fans in the US access to the club’s apparel, including Puma kit collections, a jersey customization station and exclusive merchandise.

The new store is the latest expansion of the club’s global retail offering, following the opening of other City Stores at Manchester Arndale Shopping Center in Manchester, England and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi as part of the ‘City Challenge’ experience. Manchester City has worked with retail partner Stichd to open and operate all of its stores, including the City Store at its home ground, the Etihad Stadium.

“We are very excited to announce the launch of our new store in the heart of New York City, marking another huge milestone for our global retail offering,” said Serena Gosling, Director of Integrated Fan Experience and Retail & Licensing at Manchester City. “The US market continues to offer exciting opportunities for Manchester City to grow and we have experienced an increase in engagement and support from the region over the past few years in a number of areas, including a 48% increase in online sales.
