Three properties closed in Coventry for drug dealing

COVENTRY properties have been closed after anti-social behavior and drug dealing.

Three addresses in the town were closed after officers from West Midlands Police worked to complaints of anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and cuckooing at addresses in Heera Close, Stoney Stanton Road and Hampton Road.

All three addresses were officially closed after Coventry magistrates made orders against them.

This means anyone not named in the warrant can be arrested if found inside the properties.

The first closure order, against the Heera Close property, was secured in March after reports of ASB and drug dealing, as well as concerns the occupier was being exploited by criminals.

On May 30, it was extended for a further three months after officers found people inside in breach of the order.

In April, officers executed a warrant at the Stoney Stanton Road address, recovering stolen property from inside.

This property has now been completely closed, with no one allowed inside at all for three months after a closure order was given on 23 May.

The Hampton Road property was closed after reports of drug, ASB and cuckoo offences.

On May 23, Coventry magistrates granted a three-month closure, banning anyone who is not a legal resident from being there.
