Live updates as emergency services rush to the incident in Kingsdown

Emergency services attended the scene in Bristol this evening (Monday, June 3). The incident is taking place in the Kingsdown area, located north of the city centre.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service has urged people to avoid the area around Dove Street. Details of the incident are not yet known, but police are also said to be at the scene.




Avon Fire and Rescue Service said in a post on X at 6.44pm: “We are currently attending an incident in Kingsdown.

“Please avoid the area wherever possible, particularly around Dove Street – South, to allow us to work on site. We will issue further updates when we can.”

An eyewitness told BristolLive: “Lots of armed police and fire engines in Fremantle House Kingsdown. King Square and the surrounding roads were closed.”

“Major Response”

Our on-site photographer described it as a “major response”. In addition to fire crews, police officers, forensic officers and paramedics are also present. The entire Kings Square was cordoned off.

The incident allegedly took place at Fremantle House

A witness told us: “A large number of armed police and fire engines are in attendance at Fremantle House Kingsdown. King Square and surrounding roads were closed.”
