Monkswood Crescent issued an ambulance stabbing statement

Investigations into a stabbing in Coventry continue as a man continues to recover from serious injuries. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed they took the man, who has not been identified, to hospital following the incident in Monkswood Crescent at the weekend.

Police cordoned off part of the street for most of Saturday (June 1) following the stabbing that morning. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed they found a man with potentially serious injuries.



“We were called to reports of a stabbing on Monkswood Crescent at 4.15am on Saturday, an ambulance attended the scene,” a WMAS spokesman said. “Upon arrival we discovered a male patient who was treated for potentially serious injuries before being transported to hospital.”

West Midlands Police said the man, who has not been identified but is in his 30s, suffered a serious arm injury. A woman, who has not been named but is in her 30s, was arrested and taken into custody.
