Trent Alexander-Arnold got Liverpool and Real Madrid fans talking after he publicly congratulated Jude Bellingham on his Champions League triumph at the weekend.

Bellingham starred for Real during their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on Saturday, capping an incredible debut season in the Spanish capital.

The midfielder was heavily linked with Liverpool before his move to Madrid and is known to be good friends with Alexander-Arnold, with the right-back being touted with a move to Real amid uncertainty over his contract situation.

Commenting on Bellingham’s Instagram post after the Wembley win, Alexander-Arnold wrote: “First of… Congrats bro.”

Alexander-Arnold’s comment has certainly sparked debate online.

Young Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde has poured cold water on rumors suggesting he could join Liverpool this summer after responding to a fan on social media.

There have been no links between the Reds and the Spanish defender, but Barcelona’s financial difficulties mean they may need to sell some of their high-profile stars this summer.

However, Balde is certainly not interested in leaving Catalonia in the coming months, giving a firm response to a Liverpool supporter who called for him to move to Anfield via social media.
