The journalist gives Liverpool the verdict on Crysencio Summerville

A move from Summerville to Liverpool would be very hard to turn down, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, but there is no suggestion that he is agitating for a move.

Jacobs spoke to GiveMeSport about the speculation:

“The whole Summerville season has been focused on Leeds, very professional and very loyal to the club. Of course, when a club like Liverpool or any other club of that nature makes an offer, it can be very difficult for players to turn it down.

“He joins a club with Champions League football, with much higher wages and without the risk of relegation a season later.

“So you can understand why Leeds could face a battle to keep Summerville. But we should point out that Summerville has always been very loyal and dedicated to Leeds. It wasn’t one of the players, for example in the January window, to start asking for something or pushing for an exit.”

Summerville will leave on good terms if he does

Promotion at Wembley rules all that out because he would be at the club and turn out to be a hero for essentially dragging us there.

However, if we resign ourselves to another season in the EFL, he will not leave with the fan’s bad wishes.

He could have left in the summer, but he made it clear that he wanted to stay and make it work, which also benefited his career enormously.
