Live: North Circular crash as lorry overturns near Park Royal, causing traffic delays

The Metropolitan Police issued a statement regarding today’s incident on the North Circular.

They said: “Police were called at approximately 03:35 on Tuesday, June 4 to reports of an overturned lorry at Hanger Lane Gyratory, W5.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

“No serious injuries were reported.

“The closures remain in place while the scene is dealt with.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are continuing.”

There is heavy traffic on Hangar Lane, with long queues forming before rush hour.

A video captured by London Traffic Cameras shows slow moving traffic on the busy main road that surrounds London.

As a side effect of the overturned lorry on the Northern Ring Road, the A40 eastbound is also seeing traffic this morning as drivers are diverted.

According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, there are delays on the A40 eastbound from Greenford Flyover to the A406 (Hangar Lane Gyratory).

There are also roadworks adding to the delays this morning.

There is heavy traffic on the A406 North Circular, while the northbound carriageway remains closed.

The road was closed between Brunswick Road and the A40 (Hanger Lane Gyratory).

Congestion built up to the Park Royal underpass southbound and back along Ealing Road.

There is also additional traffic to Ealing Common.
