Man wanted for serious sex offense in Lambeth flat lift

Detectives have released an e-fit image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious sex offense against a woman in a lift in Lambeth.

The incident happened in a communal lift in a residential block in July 2017, the Met Police said.

The woman reported the incident to police in October 2023 and is now supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Constable Beth Cuttell-Bladen, from the police team covering Lambeth, said: “Despite the time that has passed since the incident, the woman was able to give us a detailed description of the man who attacked her in 2017.

“I would ask people to look at E-FIT and see if they recognize this person – please get in touch if you can help.

“However much has passed since an incident like this, we will listen and support anyone who comes to us for help and investigate where we can.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote ref: 3735/08MAY24.
