Former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina says he wants to “write one last chapter” and join the ninth club of his illustrious career.

The 41-year-old played for the Reds between 2005 and 2014 after being signed from Villarreal by manager Rafa Benitez and announced this week that he will be leaving the Spanish club, to which he will return in 2022.

In total, Reina made over 1,000 appearances in a professional career that included spells with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Napoli and AC Milan. He was also part of the Spain team that won back-to-back European Championships and the 2010 World Cup.
