Feyenoord coach confirms Liverpool move after Arne Slot appointment

Liverpool are yet to officially announce the team behind Arne Slot, despite confirming the Dutchman as Jurgen Klopp’s successor last month.

The former Feyenoord boss officially started in his new role on June 1 and will be officially unveiled this summer. But with around a month to go until he takes charge of his first pre-season at Anfield, his backroom team is taking shape, although it is yet to be announced.

Sipke Hulshoff is expected to join his compatriot in moving to Liverpool from Feyenoord and take over as the club’s new assistant head coach. However, he kept his cards close to his chest when asked about his future recently.

“I can’t go into too much detail about the content, but ultimately it’s the head coach who decides who comes,” he said. Radio RTV NOF. “The collaboration with Arne is at such a good level that his trust in me is also high and that is wonderful.”

Meanwhile, reports in Holland claim that while Slot wants to bring Etienne Reijnen with him to Liverpool, he does not appear to have the coaching qualifications to make the move to the Premier League and could struggle to get a work visa necessary for Britain as a result.

However, one Feyenoord manager who will make the move to Anfield is Ruben Peeters. His agency, Claes Agency, announced the 32-year-old’s move to Liverpool last week.
