Fiorentina have issued an update on Sofyan Amrabat ahead of Manchester United’s transfer decision

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has said Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat has ambitions to stay in the Premier League.

Amrabat joined United on loan last September, signing for the duration of the 2023/24 campaign. The deal included an option for the Reds to make his stay permanent for €20 million, plus another €5 million in add-ons.




The Moroccan, who was signed to provide cover and competition for Casemiro, has made 30 appearances in all competitions. However, it wasn’t until the final month of the season that he began to show why Erik ten Hag was so keen to sign him.

Established himself as a regular in Ten Hag’s side towards the end of the campaign, starting each of United’s last four games, including the FA Cup final. He was excellent in the Wembley triumph over Manchester City, playing a key role in helping the club secure a 2-1 win.

Following the triumph over City, Amrabat confirmed that a stay at Old Trafford after the end of his loan deal cannot be ruled out.

He told Ziggo Sport: “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? Not. We will talk. Staying is definitely an option.
