WATCH shocking video as firefighters tackle HUGE moped fire in Carshalton

Shocking video shows an engine set alight in a residential area of ​​Carshalton.

Fire crews were called just after 12pm yesterday (June 3) to Brookfield Avenue.

Around 10 calls were made to the brigade about the fire from the public.

The video shows a team of firefighters fighting the fire using hoses.

A fire engine arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.

The London Fire Brigade is unable to clarify what type of vehicle caught fire.

An LFB spokesman said: “This was a vehicle which was a light on Brookfield Road.

“We were called at 12.05 and received around 10 calls from the public about the fire.

“A fire truck intervened on the scene and extinguished the fire.

“It is not clear from our logs what type of vehicle was ignited.”
