Chelsea boss Pochettino: Sheffield Utd drew a fair result

Pochettino felt the inconsistent performance was down to the youth of his squad.

Oli McBurnie struck in stoppage time to earn the Blades a point and Pochettino said: “The way we conceded in the last few minutes is frustrating and I’m disappointed.

“But if you analyze the game, the draw is fair.

“I think Sheffield United created a few chances, they always believed and of course we didn’t control the game.

“And then we can’t keep up the fight against Sheffield United and to concede in the last few minutes is very frustrating.

“Some players were not fresh, of course we play a lot.

“Today is not about making excuses, in the last few minutes we had to kill (the game), that’s why we are in the position we are in.

“We are scoring and the problem is that we are conceding a lot, we will continue to work and believe.

“They (the young players) have to be strong and solid – now it’s about us going on.

“It’s about being tough, more responsible and trying to play – the lads have to be consistent.
