£12m development including new council homes launched in Merseyside borough

A new £12 million housing development has been launched and will see 63 homes, including a number of council houses, built in a Merseyside borough.

Sandway Homes, Sefton Council’s housebuilding arm, will build the homes at Molyneux Gardens on Buckley Hill Lane in Netherton. The project will include 63 houses, rwith an area between 50 and 138 square meters, either as two to four bedroom, semi-detached or detached houses.




18 of the homes will be purchased by Sefton Council, representing the council’s first new housing initiative since 2006. The remaining 45 homes, priced between £230,000 and £350,000, will be released in batches, with the first 11 available for prospective buyers to reserve them. now.

New computer-generated images show what the housing scheme would look like. Sandway says each home will include a charging point for electric vehicles, as well as hhigh efficiency boilers, heating systems and energy efficient design.

Lin Powell, managing director of Sandway Homes, said: “We are proud to announce Molyneux Gardens as we aim to promote the prosperity and growth of the local area. With a focus on quality and community, this development serves as a foundation for the future, families and communities.”

The project was funded with financial support from several organizations. TLiverpool City Region Combined Authority has committed £1.05m, alongside an additional capital estimate of £2.2m from Sefton Council.
