Body found in search for missing Ottery St Mary man Jonathon Lathey

A body has been found in the search for a missing man. Jonathon Lathey, 42, was reported missing after he was last seen leaving his home in Ottery St Mary with his dog on Saturday (June 1).

Devon and Cornwall Police yesterday (Monday, June 3) launched an urgent appeal for information about his whereabouts. However, in an update this morning, it has been confirmed that a body was found in the Ottery St Mary area yesterday evening.

While formal identification has not yet taken place, Jonathon’s family has been informed. Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

“Jonathon was last seen on Saturday June 1 and searches were ongoing to locate him. A body was found in the Ottery St Mary area on Monday night.
