Veteran Developer Phyllis Glaze Retires From Colliers Arkansas; Bradford Gaines takes over

Commercial real estate services company Colliers Arkansas in Little Rock announced Tuesday (June 4) details of leadership changes and an expansion of its development team.

  • Bradford Gaines has been promoted to director of development, succeeding Phyllis Glaze, who is retiring after a distinguished career.
  • Ed Hankins IV was hired as a senior project manager.

According to the release, Gaines joined Colliers Arkansas in 2019 as director of new development and became a shareholder last year. He brings extensive experience in construction and development, managing projects for existing and new clients in the retail, industrial, medical and other sectors.

Glaze, who joined Colliers Arkansas (then Barnes Quinn Flake Anderson) in 1975 and became a director in 1980, is moving into a development consultant role. She has overseen a significant number of the firm’s development projects, including hundreds of office building renovations. She will continue to advise the firm as needed.

Hankins, a licensed landscape architect, he previously served as a senior associate/project manager at McClelland Consulting Engineers, working on major projects such as the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the Little Rock Central High School expansion and the renovation of Arkansas Children’s Hospital. In his new role, Hankins will oversee development projects from start to finish.

“Our development department has really come into its own in recent years,” said Isaac Smith, president of Colliers Arkansas. “Phyllis laid a strong foundation for our development management team years ago, and upon her retirement, Bradford was the obvious choice to continue in this leadership position based on her years of experience in commercial and residential development.

“Furthermore, we are excited to have the opportunity to add Ed to the team. His experience in engineering and construction makes him a great fit for our team and our firm. We are excited to see how this department grows and succeeds in the coming months and years.”

Colliers Arkansas is currently working on several development projects, including The Middle, a mixed-use retail and office development at Cantrell and Rodney Parham, Village at Club View off Colonel Glenn Road, and Bear Den Estates, an upscale residential community in west Little Rock. .
