The Interceltic Business Forum has launched a new competition to find the best innovators, start-ups and scale-ups across the Celtic nations.

The Interceltic Scaling Awards celebrate the diversity and innovation of businesses across the five Celtic regions (Cornwall, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Brittany) and recognize their ambition and achievement.

Eligible Cornish businesses are encouraged to apply for the chance to win a support and promotion package.

Five finalists from the Celtic regions will travel to Brittany (expenses covered) where they will present their value proposition to the judges and answer questions.

The judging panel will be made up of experts from Celtic organizations with a proven track record in entrepreneurship and economic development.

Two runners-up will receive €5,000 in financial support, extended marketing and PR opportunities, mentoring, support for incubation/soft landing in another Celtic nation and other benefits.

The overall winner will receive €20,000 in funding, extensive publicity, an invitation to future Interceltic Business Forum events as a speaker and up to three months of incubation support in another Celtic nation of their choice.

The final will be hosted in Lorient, Brittany on August 12 as part of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. Better known in the UK as the Interceltic Festival, the annual event has been running for over 50 years and celebrates Celtic culture and traditions.

The awards are open to companies headquartered in one of the five Celtic regions, a minimum revenue of €250,000 (or funding if prevented), at least two years in business and operating in either technology, manufacturing or services with sustainability. dimension.
