Appeal following a serious sexual assault in Huddersfield

Police are investigating a serious sexual assault on a Huddersfield woman in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, June 4).

The offense is reported to have taken place between 12pm and 12.30pm on Great Northern Street, Huddersfield.

The investigation is at an early stage, with extensive inquiries underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the suspect involved.

The victim is being supported at this time by specially trained officers.

If anyone has information or was in the area during this crime and may have dashcam footage, they are asked to come forward to help the investigation.
