Young man seriously injured in moped hit in Bradford Park

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and footage following a hit-and-run in a Bradford park which left a boy with a serious head injury.

The eight-year-old was taken to hospital following the collision with a blue moped in Horton Park at around 7.15pm on Thursday 30 May.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The rider of the moped, who was said to be wearing a balaclava, did not stop following the collision and exited the park on Horton Park Avenue.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or has footage of a blue moped in the area at the time is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or using the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website, which quotes journal reference 1619 of 30 May.”
