Arc Inspirations is opening two new locations in Nottingham and Sheffield

This autumn will see the expansion of the company’s Box and Manahatta brands, the former opening in Nottingham and the latter in Sheffield.

Box Sheffield aims to bring a game-changing high quality sports bar and cuisine to the city. The brand already has sites in locations including Leeds city centre, Deansgate in Manchester and Brindleyplace in Birmingham.

Also opening in the autumn is Manahatta Edinburgh. The Scottish city and locations of Nottingham will launch with a new look and feel that will be an evolution but staying true to its original New York-inspired concept.

Growth plans

The new locations will feature an art-deco back bar inspired by the New York speakeasy, but modernized with LED artwork.

The mirror ball will also evolve into a giant NY-inspired ball drop to bring light and movement to the site.

Arc already had a Manahatta location in Sheffield, which was shortlisted at this year’s Publican Awards in the Best New Site category.

In March, the company revealed it had secured £7m to help accelerate its expansion plans, including delivering at least four new openings a year over the next five years.

Significant development

While the multiple operator is eyeing additional launches in cities such as Cardiff, Liverpool and London soon, it will also be looking to shed older, legacy sites that don’t fit the company’s future strategy.

Commenting on the latest openings, Arc Inspirations co-founder and CEO Martin Wolstencroft said: “We are delighted to be doubling our presence in central Nottingham and Sheffield – two cities where we have seen great success over the past year and can hardly wait for me to reveal our new Manahatta design.
